Ozden/Wang Custom Home
Attleboro, MA
Because the original home sat on a small and irregular lot, zoning restrictions required us to build upward instead of outward. This led to a colonial inspired design that respects the existing footprint while transforming the scale and function of the home. The kitchen area now features ten foot ceilings and a custom cable railing staircase that leads to a second floor family room with a cathedral ceiling. Large windows fill the home with natural light from morning to evening, giving it a bright, open feel that fits the family’s lifestyle.
The floor plan centers around the family room on the second floor. Just outside, we built a deck with a dry area underneath for year round use and extra outdoor space. Inside, natural white oak flooring, thoughtful lighting, and high quality tile work give the home a warm, modern character.
Mechanical systems were upgraded throughout the home with new HVAC, insulation, and electrical work to support the expanded layout. The project also required a special permit process because the original structure sat inside today’s setback requirements. Our team handled the approvals, engineering, and all coordination with the town to keep the project moving.
What makes this custom home special is the collaboration and creativity shared with the homeowners. From structural planning to interior finishes, every decision was made to support a family beginning a new chapter in a new state. The result is a home that feels open, functional, welcoming, and built for the long run.
