The bathroom became the centerpiece of the entire project. Influenced by Sylvia’s Spanish background, the design features warm natural stone in soft beige tones that wrap the walls and floors. The layout brings together elegance, function, and comfort, all tied together with radiant heated floors that extend across the entire five hundred square feet of the addition.

In the kitchen, we opened the layout by removing a load bearing wall and adding a redesigned island finished in a bold blue tone. This instantly brightened the space and improved the flow. The hardwood floors were refinished for a fresh look, and the color palette helped tie the new kitchen into the cozy sage tones used in the bedroom. The addition also includes a long PVC deck that runs from the new suite along the front of the home, creating a welcoming outdoor space for family gatherings.

Custom built in cabinets in the bedroom and laundry area added function and charm while keeping the retreat feeling organized. Structural, mechanical, and insulation upgrades were completed as part of the addition, ensuring long term comfort and efficiency.

This project created a calming retreat for the Shaw family. A space where they can relax, enjoy company, and experience a home that finally feels tailored to their lifestyle.
